The West Marietta Aglow Lighthouse meets as a group once a month. We have energetic, fun and meaningful praise and worship, prayer and teachings. Our aim at every meeting is to glorify our Lord and exalt the name of Jesus. Everyone is invited regardless of denomination, race, culture or language. Come and be renewed. Meet and form new friendships with other women in your area. Experience and receive everything that the Lord has for you. Our services have global impact, testimonies, worship, great speakers, and of course, a personal touch.

Global Impact

It is the heart of Aglow to impact every woman in every nation in the world for the Lord. We believe that we are to reach the nations to fulfill God's word (Matt. 24:14). We do this at our meetings by praying for specific needs in other parts of the world, getting updates from women in other countries, inviting missionaries to speak and hearing testimonies of ladies from other nations.

Also, a portion of our offering from every meeting goes to Aglow International. They, in turn, provide for other lighthouses in developing countries, hold leadership trainings in their native language, and offer Bible Studies in their language free of charge. Aglow International also provides us the opportunity to sponsor a lighthouse in an impoverished country through Operation Link-Up, so that we may connect with them and form a relationship.

Testimonies

As believers, we are to testify so that others may believe (John 4:39). It is through our testimony that others may see God in their midst today! There is great power in testifying. It was through this practice that the disciples let others know about the greatness of our Lord. It was through Jesus' testimony and the testimony about Him. That the world knew about the Father (John 5:33-36). So then, it is also through your testimony that God is glorified.

We provide the opportunity for ladies to give their testimony during our meetings. It is through hearing them that our faith is also increased and we are encouraged. We appreciate and celebrate with our fellow sisters what God has done in their lives. It is time to open your mouth and stomp on the enemy's head by speaking of the great and wonderful things the Lord has done for you.

Worship

It is during worship that we express our great adoration and reverence for our Lord. We know that worship is not just something we do when we attend a service, but it is a lifestyle. During our services, it is our aim to seek the Lord corporately knowing that the Lord abides in the praises of His people. We love to worship and praise.

What to expect when you attend our Lighthouse: You may see us sit, stand, sing, use banners (each color having its own meaning: gold-glory, blue-royalty, orange-fire of God etc.), use shofars, streamers, and dance. At times you may hear shouts of joy or of weeping in adoration.

There are different forms of worship and we are not limited to one type. We focus on pleasing God and doing what He desires. At times, it’s like fire shut in our bones! There are other times, however, when we are face to face as Moses was on the mount. Whatever your style of worship might be, we want you to be free to be yourself before the Lord and not be restrained by or made to do what others want.

Speakers

We have been blessed to be surrounded by mighty men and women of God. We have wise, energetic and insightful teachers of the Word of God. We have had speakers like the Aglow Area Board, our Executive Board, Pastor Lavonda Bolin, Dr. Beth McLemore, Reverend Lance Dossie, Dr. Mary J. Ogennarekhua and many more share a Word in due season from the Lord. Come expecting!! Our speakers want to reach out to you and give you the tools that you will need to fulfill your destiny. You will not leave the same way you came in!

Personal Touch

At every meeting you will have the opportunity for a prayer partner to come into agreement with you in prayer. According to God's word in Matthew 18:19-21, it states, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Come ready with your petitions and the desires of your heart. Whatever your spiritual condition might be, if you just haven't talked to the Lord in a long time, maybe you don't know what to say, or you want to give Him praise. You have a group of women ready to stand with you and believe along with you that all things are possible with God.

**Only people in the West Marietta Aglow Executive Board, prayer ministry or special guests are allowed to minister in prayer to others during the services. People designated to pray will wear badges. Please refrain from ministering to others or letting others without badges minister to you during our services. Thank you**
